❓ Issue/Question

  • How does GRID handle players with multiple game accounts?
  • A player appears twice in the data, why?
  • A player doesn't have the correct ID based on previous series.
  • Why does the same player show up as two separate entities?
  • How does GRID map player identities across accounts?

🖥️ Environment/Context

  • All GRID products

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • GRID assigns each player a unique player ID and links multiple game accounts to a single identity automatically.
  • Some accounts are too different for GRID to map. When that happens, a player can appear as two separate entities in the data.
    • GRID tries to catch such instances, but some variability is unfortunately unavoidable.
  • Clients should be aware of this and may need to handle the additional mapping on their end for specific cases.
