❓ Issue/Question

  • What happens when a series is recreated due to a data issue?
  • Why does a series only have 2 maps when 3 were played?

🖥️ Environment/Context

  • Central Data, Series State, Series Events

🥚 Cause

  • When an ongoing series hits a data issue GRID can't recover from, GRID creates a new series ID starting from the next reliable map rather than continuing under the original one.

👌 Resolution/Answer

  • If such an event happens, Support will notify you about the new ID in your operational channel.
  • Your integration needs to be able to handle a series ID being replaced during a series.
  • The score from the original series carries over. If Team A was leading 1–0 in a best-of-3, the recreated series starts with that 1–0 advantage already recorded.
